Email Templates vs Email Campaigns

The Email Marketing section has two areas: Email Templates and Email Campaigns. Email Templates are reusable layouts almost like presets when you can build emails for specific purposes (e.g. a newsletter). The Email Campaigns area is where you choose an Email Template to use, customize it as needed, and then schedule the email to be sent to specific recipients either individually, using a smart list, or through contact tags.
You can also reuse campaigns by cloning them when sending them at a later date while still maintaining the ability to customize the email before it is sent.
The main difference between an Email Template and an Email Campaign is that a Template is the foundation and layout of an email preset and a Campaign is an actual email message that is sent out and delivered.
The Email Template is a preset layout you build your campaign on. It can be useful because it saves you time when creating emails for your subscribers. If you plan to send the same layout more than once in the future, you might consider creating an email template.
